The first college game at the Golden 1 Center, three games at Power Five conference schools and a neutral-site tournament in Washington highlight the Sacramento State men’s basketball schedule for the 2016-2017 season.
The Hornets open the season Nov. 11 at Colorado, then play Nov. 13 at Nebraska. They also will play at Washington State on Dec. 21.
Sac State has three wins over Pacific-12 Conference schools in the last six seasons, including last year’s season-opening 66-63 upset at Arizona State.
The Hornets will face Causeway Cup rival UC Davis in the opener of a doubleheader Nov. 21 at the Golden 1 Center that includes Cal and San Diego State in the nightcap.

Sac State then will play in the four-team Eastern Washington Basketball Classic in Cheney, Wash. The Hornets will play USF on Nov. 26 and Denver on Nov. 27.
Sac State’s first non-exhibition home game will be Nov. 17 against Antelope Valley. The Hornets also play UC Merced on Dec. 3 (in a doubleheader with the Hornets women’s team) and Abilene Christian on Dec. 17 at The Nest.
The Hornets begin their 18-game Big Sky Conference schedule with home games against Northern Colorado on Dec. 29 and North Dakota on Dec. 31.
Sac State will play defending Big Sky regular-season and tournament champion Weber State at The Nest on Feb. 9. It will be the only regular-season meeting between the teams.
In all, Sac State will play 12 home games, 14 road games and three neutral-site games.
