Bee’s Best: Del Oro wins Student Section of the Year poll
Wherever the Del Oro High School football team is playing on Friday nights, you can find its student section not far behind.
Del Oro won The Sacramento Bee student section of the year poll. The Golden Eagles got 38% of the total vote. Folsom finished second with 31% of the vote.
Del Oro’s student section this prep football season has been a fixture at home and away games. They dress up in black, white, pink, cowboy costumes and more. Del Oro traveled well to road games at Del Campo, Lincoln and most notably Granite Bay this season.
The Bee plans to do a followup story on the poll in the near future.
