Bee’s Best: East Nicolaus’ Remmington Hewitt wins Girls’ Athlete of the Year Poll
East Nicolaus High School senior Remmington Hewitt won The Bee’s year-ending Athlete of the Year poll. She won with 52% of the vote and had over 50,000 votes total.
Hewitt signed to play softball at Oregon last month during the early signing period. During the spring, she was named The Bee’s smallest school player of the year in softball. This past fall, Hewitt was a key contributor on East Nicolaus’ section champion-winning volleyball team.
Woodcreek High School junior Mia McSweeney finished in second place with over 20,000 votes. She is committed to play soccer at Oregon.
