Bee’s Best: Donovan Morgan of Sheldon wins Boys’ Prep of Week poll

Donovan Morgan doesn’t lead his team in any statistical categories, but he’s a key piece ot the Sheldon Huskies.

The 6-foot-2 senior guard/forward has played his best games of late, including scoring a season-high 21 points to go with 10 rebounds against Jesuit in a 57-52 victory that clinched a share of the Delta League championship.

Morgan earned Bee boys’ Prep of the Week honors through fan voting, garnering more than 20,000 votes.

Sheldon has won nine consecutive games and bounds into the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division I playoffs as a contender, always, and as the defending champion.

Sheldon (19-9) hosts Rocklin (14-14) in playoff opener Friday night.
