Bee’s Best: Margo Melgoza of West Campus is Sacramento’s Girls’ Prep of the Week

Margo Melgoza is in the middle of the surging volleyball season at West Campus High School.

The junior team captain and setter leads the Sac-Joaquin Section in aces with 107, and she has 153 kills for a Warriors program that is 26-1 overall and 5-0 in the Greater Sacramento League. The only loss was to powerhouse Christian Brothers.

For her overall efforts, Melgoza was voted as The Bee’s Girls’ Prep of the Week through fan voting. She had more than 5,500 votes for the Division IV program that is ranked sixth in the state at that level by MaxPreps.

West Campus is ranked 14th in the Sac-Joaquin Section for all programs.
