Bee’s Best winners: See who won Prep of the Week awards and vote in this week’s polls

Last week’s Sacramento Bee Prep of the Week poll winners were Sophia Castro of Pioneer High School in Woodland and Elijah Huddle of Casa Roble in Orangevale.

Castro, who edged Del Oro water polo player Jane Lubiens for girls Prep of the Week, had two interceptions in a 7-6 flag football victory over Mesa Verde.

Huddle had 229 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns in Casa Roble’s 57-6 win over Mesa Verde, scoring on three TD receptions and one punt return. Huddle garnered 9,839 votes to hold off Landon Dahler of Pioneer, who received 7,839 votes after rushing for 150 yards and three scores in a 35-14 win over Woodland.
