The real fun starts May 7 on the regional baseball circuit.

Here are 30 players to keep an eye as the regular season winds down and the playoffs approach.

Nic Abraham, Franklin

The 6-foot-5 senior pitcher headed to Tennessee did not allow a single earned run in Delta League play and is 8-0 with an 0.98 ERA. He is as ferocious as his fastball and is the team’s top cheerleader when not on the mound for the defending Division I champions.

Mason Belding, Del Oro

The sophomore catcher with a verbal commitment to play at Texas A&M leads the Golden Eagles with a .457 on-base percentage, five home runs and a .315 batting average while impressing amid a brutal Sierra Foothill League schedule.
