It was wet and windy across the Sacramento region, pelting high school football games as winter conditions have officially settled in.

Friday night marked the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section semifinal rounds, and the most hearty withstood the opponents and the elements to extend the season for at least another week.

The top six divisions will play for section championships on Thanksgiving weekend at Sacramento City College’s Hughes Stadium.

All section champions advance to a CIF Northern California Regional final Dec. 6-7 at home sites. The CIF State finals are Dec. 13-14 at Southern California neutral-site venues.
