The second week of the high school football season in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section included scoring fests.

It also brought one stunning rankings upset, as Ponderosa of Shingle Springs stunned Sacramento Bee No. 9-ranked Casa Roble of Orangevale, 36-34.
