The Sacramento Bee hands out game balls, in spirit, to the following movers and shakers in Sacramento-area high school football from last week’s action.

Here are the top performers, listed in alphabetical order.

Kyle Boeker, Oak Ridge: The senior kicker, and one of the best specialists in Northern California, made field goals of 37 and 27 yards and had three touchbacks on kickoffs in a 12-8 win over Del Oro in a smashmouth Sierra Foothill League opener. Boeker is a returning Bee All-Metro and the best in the section, according to coach Casey Taylor, whose team is Bee-ranked second and hosts No. 4 Granite Bay on Friday.

Lua DeBerry, Folsom: The junior defensive lineman for The Bee’s top ranked team jumped to grab a pass and rumbled two yards for a game-changing touchdown in a 34-21 win over Rocklin in an SFL opener. DeBerry said that had he had an interception at midfield, he would have scored: “I would have just stiff-armed someone.”
