▪ Outlook: In his fourth season as coach at Capital Christian, Phil Grams has led the Cougars from 5-5 to seasons of 10-2, 9-2 and 12-0, the program’s best run since beginning in 1977. The Cougars are led by Harvard-bound senior Justice Shelton-Mosley. He has rushed for 865 yards and 18 touchdowns, caught 18 passes for 408 yards and four touchdowns and made six interceptions as a cornerback and returned three punts for touchdowns. Sophomore quarterback Jacob Norville has passed for 1,378 yards and 20 touchdowns with just two interceptions, and defensive back Edward Ware has nine interceptions. Capital handed Modesto Christian its lone loss, 23-22, in a season opener. The Crusaders have rushed for 4,377 yards and 61 touchdowns, including 1,469 yards and 22 touchdowns by sophomore Chris Brown.
