Michael Pittman is off and running again, warming up as the league races heat up in area high school football.
The Oak Ridge senior rushed for a season-high 207 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries last Friday to key a 27-15 victory at Rocklin and keep the Trojans in the thick of the Sierra Foothill League championship chase.

Pittman’s lowest rushing output (46 yards) was Sept. 16, when Oak Ridge lost to Nevada power Reed of Sparks 55-34. He’s had his two best games in the past two weeks, including a 117-yard, two-touchdown performance two weeks ago in a 35-14 win over Woodcreek.

Pittman has 601 yards and seven touchdowns for Oak Ridge (5-1), which hosts Granite Bay on Friday and plays at Del Oro next week.
