Kevin Dawidczik, Del Campo

His first team went 10-15-1 in 2015, so the road was steep for Kevin Dawidczik at storied Del Campo High School.

But Dawidczik never flinched, and he implored his players to commit just as much as he planned to. In short order, the Cougars bounced back. It culminated this season with a 26-6-1 season that was punctuated by a Sac-Joaquin Section Division II championship. Dawidczik called the season "a great dream come true" as he credited the players for staying united.

Del Campo won the Capital Valley Conference and then went 5-1 in the playoffs, losing only to Del Oro 4-3 on the final day and then avenging it in the winner-take-all title game at American River College.

Jim Bennett, Bella Vista

After finishing third in the power-packed Capital Valley Conference behind regional powers Del Campo and Roseville with a young team, Jim Bennett inspired Bella Vista to the finals of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II championship bracket, where the Broncos lost 4-3 to St. Mary's of Stockton.

Along the way, Bella Vista as the No. 4 seed beat Napa, which upset top-seeded Del Campo, and upended No. 2 Elk Grove.

Bennett's first team in 2010-11 went 4-20. The Broncos have fielded winners ever since, including going 20-10-1 this season.
