A look back at The Bee’s high school football Players of the Week this past season, as voted on by readers (click names for story links):
BRAEDEN BOURKE, Christian Brothers: Threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score in a 27-7 win over El Camino.
DANTE DAVIS, Cosumnes Oaks: Rushed for school records of 328 yards and five touchdowns in a 42-21 win over Ponderosa.
CHRISTIAN HUBER, Folsom: Had six receptions for 150 yards and three touchdowns in Folsom’s 56-20 win over Burbank.
JAYDEN MACHADO, Elk Grove: Passed for four touchdowns in a 63-14 win over Jesuit.
TERRANCE MARCH, Natomas: Rushed for 162 yards and two touchdowns, caught a 24-yard touchdown pass, scored on two two-point conversion runs and had 14 tackles and three sacks in a 42-24 victory over Valley.
CLARENCE PIERSON, River Valley: Rushed for 220 yards and three touchdowns and had an interception in a 55-43 win over Roseville.
MICHAEL PITTMAN, Oak Ridge: Rushed for 187 yards and scored five touchdowns in a 57-55 win over Whitney.
RYAN ROBARDS, Elk Grove: Scored touchdowns on an interception return, a fumble return, a punt return and three runs in a 42-7 win over Grant.
TYLER STOEVER, Valley Christian: Returned an interception 51 yards for a touchdown and rushed for a score in a 34-12 win over Delta.
JONAH WEHRLI, Rocklin: Made six tackles and forced a fumble to set up a score in a 27-24 win over Granite Bay.
AUSTIN WEIR, Colfax: Threw for 187 yards and four touchdowns in Colfax’s 42-7 win over Wheatland.
