Sacramento High running back Kyron Basped, who was believed to have chosen San Jose State as the university where he would continue his academic and athletic career, did not sign a letter of intent on Wednesday as earlier reported here.

College chosen: None

Position: Defensive back

Height/weight: 6-1, 195

A Bee All-Metro player, Basped went from being homeless early in his prep career to a scholar and leader, saying, “If I can overcame what I did, anyone can.” It is not known what college Basped might eventually choose.
