Sacramento Kings will introduce new coach George Karl on Tuesday
The Kings will formally announce George Karl as their new coach during a news conference Tuesday at the team’s practice facility adjacent to Sleep Train Arena.
The news conference is not open to the public, but the Kings are expected to soon announce a public appearance by Karl.
Karl, the sixth-winningest coach in NBA history with 1,131 victories, will coach his first game Friday when the Kings, 18-34, host the Boston Celtics.
Karl, hired by the Kings on Feb. 11 to replace Tyrone Corbin, who will become an adviser to the front office. Corbin was 7-21 after replacing Michael Malone, who as fired Dec. 14.
