Score some buckets and help Buddy Hield become a 3-point shootout competitor
Kings fans: Buddy Hield needs your help.
A social media challenge has been started in hopes of getting the Kings’ second-year guard into the JBL Three-Point Contest during the NBA’s All-Star Weekend.
To help Hield, people must post videos of baskets being made on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook and add the hashtag #buddybucketschallenge.

Entering Wednesday, Hield was 13th in the NBA in 3-point accuracy at 42.9 percent (Boston rookie Jayson Tatum leads the league at 46 percent). However, he was trailing by a large margin in made 3s with 82 in 191 attempts (Golden State’s Klay Thompson made 145 3-pointers to lead the NBA).
If Hield is selected to compete, he’d be just the fourth Sacramento King to do so, joining two-time champion Peja Stojakovic (four appearances), Mitch Richmond (two) and Jim Les (one).
