The Kings have picked up the contract option on Reno Bighorns coach David Arseneault Jr., the team announced Tuesday.
Reno, Sacramento’s NBA Development League affiliate, was 20-30 last season, but led the the league in several offensive categories.
“We are excited to continue with David as our coach in Reno,” Kings vice president of basketball and franchise operations Vlade Divac said in a statement. “He demonstrated an ability to develop players prepared to contribute at the professional level and his system complements George Karl’s desire to run an up-tempo style of play in Sacramento.”
Reno led the D-League in scoring average (133.1 points), made three-pointers (17.2), attempted three-pointers (46.9) and assists (26.8) per game and pace (116.34 possessions per 48 minutes).

The Bighorns also led the D-League with seven player call-ups during the season: Quincy Miller (Kings, Pistons), Jordan Hamilton (Clippers), David Wear (Kings), Sim Bhullar (Kings) and David Stockton (Kings twice).
