While the Warriors-Cavaliers matchup NBA championship game tonight is on the mind of most basketball fans, part of the internet audience was pre-occupied with the possible break-up of a back-up Sacramento Kings player and his girlfriend.

The New York Post and other websites noted that Kings guard Nik Stauskas and Taylor Anderson may have broken up. That split might leave a Michigan teen without Taylor to take to his prom.

Jaime Guerra was planning to take Anderson, variously described online as an internet sensation and absurdly hot, to his prom. Stauskas was to accompany the two.

But now it appears that neither will be at Guerra’s prom, according to a story in The News Herald. The senior has reportedly spoken with Stauskas via Twitter.

“It doesn’t look good,” the newspaper quotes Woodhaven High School principal Matthew Czajkowski.

Nothing of the Twitter accounts of either Stauskas or Anderson indicates the two have split.

A Kings spokesman said that neither the team or Stauskas had any comment about reports of a possible split.
