Kings provide medical updates for injured stars De’Aaron Fox and Marvin Bagley III

Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox and forward Marvin Bagley III are progressing in their recoveries, but neither is ready to return from their respective injuries, the team said Monday.

Bagley has missed 17 games since suffering a nondisplaced fracture of his right thumb in a season-opening loss to the Phoenix Suns. He will undergo a six-week evaluation with the team’s medical staff at the end of the week, the Kings said.

Fox has missed nine games since suffering a Grade 3 ankle sprain at practice on Nov. 11. He has been cleared for on-court, noncontact basketball activities, but won’t be back in the lineup for some time.

The team said Fox will not accompany the team on its upcoming four-game road trip. Instead, he will remain in Sacramento to work with the team’s health and performance staff. He will be reevaluated again in two to three weeks.
