Sacramento has made the big time. Kind of.

Golden 1 Center will be the only California stop for the Big3 tour’s Fireball3 league next summer, with a visit scheduled for August 1. The league features three-on-three basketball games between older basketball players. Former NBA player Joe Johnson, 38 years old, led the league in scoring, assists and steals last year. Former Sacramento Kings player Mike Bibby, 41, was one of the league’s assist leaders.

Unlike previous seasons, the fourth Big3 tour focuses on one city each week. The league will make 10 stops, all on Saturdays, and will feature a festival. Festivals will include six games in one venue, musical and entertainment performances, and youth basketball clinics.

“We’re pumped to bring the BIG3 to new cities and venues for our millions of fans across the country to enjoy,” said BIG3 co-founder Jeff Kwatinetz in a news release. “Each city we visit on Saturdays will be treated to the hardnosed, fast-paced on-court action of the BIG3, along with performances from various world class entertainers.”

Ticket information is not yet available on the Big3 website.
