Still no return in sight for Marvin Bagley III as Kings continue playoff push
There is still no return in sight for Marvin Bagley III as the Kings continue their improbable playoff push.
The team announced Tuesday that Bagley is continuing to progress in his recovery from a left midfoot sprain that has caused him to miss 29 of the last 33 games. He has begun some on-court running activities and skill work, but he is not ready to return to the lineup. Bagley has not been ruled out for the remainder of the season, but there is still no timetable for his return.
The Kings (28-36) are preparing to play the New Orleans Pelicans (28-36) on Wednesday at Golden 1 Center. The teams are tied for ninth in the Western Conference, four games behind the Memphis Grizzlies for the eighth seed in the playoffs.
Bagley, the No. 2 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, has appeared in only 13 games this season, averaging 14.2 points and 7.5 rebounds.
