Check out Golden 1 Center lit up with glowing blue ‘thank you’ signs

By lighting up the Golden 1 Center each night from 7 to 9 p.m. in large, glowing blue “Thank you” signs, the Sacramento Kings organization is showing its appreciation for health-care workers across the region who are helping fight the coronavirus pandemic.

The message goes out to ”the hundreds of courageous doctors, nurses and frontline workers at the Sleep Train Arena alternate care facility and all those across the region, who are helping our community on the front lines,” the Kings said in a news release.

The empty Sleep Train Arena, former home of the Kings, was converted to a hospital to handle the surge of COVID-19 cases.

The Kings also said everyone who enters the hospital facility at Sleep Train Arena in Natomas is welcomed with a “Heroes Work Here” sign.

The team’s show of appreciation is part of the #LightSactoBlue and the Kings’ “In This Together” campaigns to show support during the COVID-19 outbreak.

These efforts are part of the organization’s “In This Together” initiative to help support the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
