Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Kings following a historic performance against the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.

Young had 56 points and 14 assists in a 136-131 loss to the Blazers, joining James Harden, Nate Archibald and Wilt Chamberlain as the only players in NBA history to post 50+ points and 14+ assists in a game. What will Young do for an encore in Sacramento? Nothing, if the Kings are lucky.

Young (low back soreness) and Cam Reddish (right ankle sprain) are listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game at Golden 1 Center. Former Kings guard Bogdan Bogdanovic, John Collins, Gorgui Dieng and Jalen Johnson are all out due to NBA health and safety protocols. Collins cleared health and safety protocols Wednesday, but he won’t join the team until the Hawks get to Los Angeles to play the Lakers on Friday.

The Kings (16-23) will likely be without center Richaun Holmes and forward Chimezie Metu, both of whom entered health and safety protocols in recent days. The Kings will be on the second night of a back-to-back after suffering a 122-114 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday at Crypto.com Arena.

The Hawks (16-20) have lost four of their last five games and eight of their last 11. Young has been sensational since returning from health and safety protocols on Dec. 27, averaging 36.5 points and 11.3 assists over the past four games.

Kings updates

Holmes and Metu are still in the league’s protocol system. Both have been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Hawks. Terence Davis is listed as questionable again due to left ankle soreness
