The Cleveland Cavaliers are coming to Sacramento in search of a victory after losing to the Golden State Warriors in Klay Thompson’s long-awaited return Sunday night at Chase Center in San Francisco. The Kings need a win as well after losing their last four games.

The Kings will open a five-game homestand against the Cavaliers on Monday at Golden 1 Center. Both teams will be on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Kings (16-26) are coming off a 103-88 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night. They have lost eight of 11 to fall 10 games under .500, leaving them a half-game behind the San Antonio Spurs and Blazers for the final play-in spot in the Western Conference.

The Cavaliers (22-18) are coming off a 96-82 loss to the Warriors after witnessing Thompson’s triumphant return from ACL and Achilles injuries. The Cavaliers went 19-12 to start the season, but they haven’t been the same recently. They have lost four of six since Ricky Rubio went down with a torn ACL and five of seven dating back to Dec. 28.

The Cavaliers handed the Kings a 117-103 loss on Dec. 11 in Cleveland. Isaac Okoro led all scorers with 20 points in that game. Evan Mobley, a leading Rookie of the Year candidate, had 15 points and 15 rebounds.

The Kings and Cavaliers have yet to submit injury reports for Monday’s game. Kings centers Richaun Holmes and Damian Jones missed Sunday’s game against the Blazers due to NBA health and safety protocols. Okoro has been out since Jan. 2 with a left elbow sprain.

Status updates

The Kings are listing forward Maurice Harkless as questionable against the Cavaliers due to right ankle soreness. Holmes and Jones are still out due to health and safety protocols. Okoro (elbow), Rubio (knee) and Collin Sexton (knee) are out for the Cavaliers.
