Kyrie Irving will probably play when the Brooklyn Nets visit the Kings on Wednesday at Golden 1 Center. The question is whether De’Aaron Fox will play for the Kings.

Fox is again listed as questionable against the Nets after missing the past five games due to left ankle soreness. The Kings maintain there is no concern that Fox is suffering from a more serious injury, but he was ruled out after testing the ankle before each game during the team’s winless five-game road trip. The Kings are 1-8 in games Fox has missed this season.

The Kings (18-34) have lost seven in a row and 12 of 14 to fall 3 ½ games behind the Portland Trail Blazers for the final play-in bid in the Western Conference. Marvin Bagley III will miss his second game with a left ankle sprain. Terence Davis will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery Tuesday to repair a damaged tendon in his right wrist.

The Nets (29-21) come to Sacramento on the second night of a back-to-back after suffering a 121-111 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday. They have lost five in a row.

Kevin Durant is sidelined with an MCL sprain, but the Nets still have James Harden. They also have Irving — when they aren’t in New York City. Irving isn’t permitted to play in home games due to the city’s vaccine mandate, but the Nets are now allowing him to suit up for road games.

Irving has appeared in all nine of his team’s road games since returning to the lineup, averaging 24.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.1 assists. He scored 32 points in a 110-106 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Saturday and 26 points against the Suns on Tuesday.
