The Kings hope De’Aaron Fox will be ready to return to the lineup soon after being sidelined for two weeks with an ankle injury, but his status is still uncertain for Saturday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Golden 1 Center.

The Kings are listing Fox and forward Marvin Bagley III as questionable against Oklahoma City. Fox has missed the past seven games due to left ankle soreness. Bagley has missed the past three games with a left ankle sprain.

The Kings (19-35) posted a surprising 112-101 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday in Sacramento before suffering a 126-114 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Thursday in San Francisco. They have lost eight of their last nine and 13 of 16 dating back to Jan. 4.

The Thunder (17-34) has won three in a row despite the absence of point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is averaging 22.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists. Gilgeous-Alexander has a sprained right ankle and won’t return until after the All-Star break. The Thunder beat the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday and Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday before beating the Blazers again Friday.

This will be the third meeting between the Kings and Thunder this season. The Thunder prevailed 105-103 on Nov. 12 in Oklahoma City. The Kings won 117-111 on Dec. 28 in Sacramento.

Dort ruled out

Thunder small forward Luguentz Dort has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Kings due to a facial contusion. Dort is averaging 16.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.

Dort had 19 points and eight rebounds in the Dec. 28 loss to the Kings. He had 22 points and five rebounds — with a game-winning strip and score in the final seconds — in Oklahoma City’s Nov. 12 victory over Sacramento.

Status updates

Fox and Bagley were both ruled out again for Saturday’s game against the Thunder. Fox will miss his eighth consecutive game with left ankle soreness. Bagley will miss his fourth game due to a left ankle sprain.
