Kings gameday live: Knicks facing back-to-back after beating Clippers to end 7-game skid
The New York Knicks boarded a flight to Sacramento late Sunday night after snapping a seven-game losing streak with a 116-93 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Knicks will face the Kings on the second night of a back-to-back Monday at Golden 1 Center. The Knicks will be playing their third game in four nights as part of a long and difficult seven-game road trip that has taken them to Philadelphia, Phoenix, Los Angeles and Sacramento with remaining stops in Dallas, Memphis and Brooklyn.
The Kings (24-42) returned from a five-game road trip after suffering a 114-113 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday. De’Aaron Fox tied his career high with 44 points, but Sacramento suffered a tough loss after officials missed two critical calls down the stretch. With the loss, the Kings clinched their record 16th consecutive losing season.
The Knicks (26-38) had lost 11 of 12 before beating the Clippers on Sunday. Taj Gibson (illness), Quentin Grimes (patella subluxation), Nerlens Noel (foot), Derrick Rose (ankle), Obi Toppin (hamstring) and Kemba Walker (not with team) were all out.
The Kings are listing Jeremy Lamb as questionable after he missed Saturday’s game against the Mavericks due to left hip soreness.
