The NBA is buzzing over the future of LeBron James after the Los Angeles Lakers star said he plans to play with his son Bronny when he enters the league in 2024. According to oddsmakers, Sacramento is one of the most likely destinations for the father-son duo.

Bookies.com is listing the Kings among the favorites to draft Bronny James and likely secure the services of his father, an 18-time All-Star and four-time MVP who needs 1,667 points to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record.

The Oklahoma City Thunder (+800) is the odds-on-favorite followed by the Kings (+1200), Cleveland Cavaliers (+1500) and Golden State Warriors (+1850). The Cavaliers selected James, a native of Akron, Ohio, out of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School with the No. 1 pick in the 2003 NBA draft.

James made his NBA debut in Sacramento on Oct. 30, 2003, scoring 25 points in a 106-92 loss to the Kings at Arco Arena. Will “King James” conclude his career in Sacramento as well? That will likely depend on which team drafts his son, a 6-foot-2 junior guard at Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth.

“My last year will be played with my son,” James told The Athletic. “Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It’s not about the money at that point.”
