Former Kings guard Mitch Richmond will join the broadcast team this season as an analyst on the pregame and postgame shows on Comcast SportsNet California.
Richmond, a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame who made the All-Star team in six of his seven Kings seasons, joins anchor Guy Haberman and “Kings Insider” Bill Herenda before and after games.
Haberman, a Davis native, also co-hosts “Haberman and Middlekauff,” with NFL analyst John Middlekauf on 95.7 FM in San Francisco. Herenda also is morning sports anchor for KFBK (93.1 FM, 1530 AM).
CSNCA will broadcast 80 of the Kings’ 82 regular-season games, plus the preseason home opener against the Toronto Raptors on Oct. 7.

Grant Napear, Jerry Reynolds and sideline reporter Kayte Christensen return as the announcing team for the CSNCA broadcasts.
The other two regular-season games – Nov. 20 vs. Chicago and Dec. 11 vs. Houston – will be broadcast nationally by TNT. One of the CSNCA games – Dec. 16 vs. Oklahoma City – also will be broadcast nationally by ESPN. Four other CSNCA games – Dec. 5 vs. Indiana, Dec. 13 vs. Detroit, Dec. 27 vs. New York and March 14 at Washington – also are scheduled to be broadcast by NBA TV.
