Steph Curry didn’t start out hot in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Golden State Warriors star guard was 0-for-4 from 3-point range in the first quarter and his team was 0-for-15 in the first half. The Warriors turned it around Monday night and Curry scored a team-high 18 points in the fourth quarter. The Warriors overcame a double-digit deficit to beat the Grizzlies 101-98 to take a 3-1 series lead.

After the game, Curry made a comment related to the Sacramento Kings that took social media by storm. The poor shooting start coupled with newly named Kings coach Mike Brown filling in for Warriors coach Steve Kerr in Game 5 because of a positive COVID-19 test prompted Curry to say he felt his team was “traded to the Kings overnight.”

The reaction from social media was mixed. Some laughed. Some dunked on the Kings more. And some fans were upset. Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter.

Some people just celebrated that Brown was the first Kings coach to get a playoff win in 16 years:

After Curry made his original comment, he clarified that his statement about being traded to the Kings was in regard to Brown being named the Warriors head coach that night and not the poor shooting start the team had.
