The Kings have moved on to their next order of business after completing their coaching search with Monday’s announcement that they have hired Golden State Warriors assistant Mike Brown as their new head coach.

A league source told The Sacramento Bee the Kings held their first pre-draft workout Tuesday at the team’s Golden 1 Center practice facility. The workout included Jaden Shackelford (Alabama); Johnny Juzang (UCLA); Hyunjung Lee (Davidson); Tyler Burton (Richmond); Keion Brooks (Kentucky); and Justyn Mutts (Virginia Tech).

The NBA draft lottery will be held May 17. The draft is scheduled for June 23.

Most of the players in Tuesday’s workout are viewed as potential undrafted free agent targets, but Lee is projected as a possible second-round draft pick. Lee, a 6-foot-7, 210-pound guard from Yeok, South Korea, averaged 15.8 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting 38.1% from 3-point range as a junior at Davidson last season. The Wildcats went 27-7 to win the Atlantic 10 Conference, but they were knocked out by Michigan State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Lee had a number of big games throughout the season. He scored 32 points against Charlotte on Nov. 30, 29 against Saint Louis on Feb. 19 and 27 against Duquesne on Feb. 23.

Shackelford is a 6-3, 200-pound guard. He averaged 16.6 points and 5.4 rebounds as a junior at Alabama. He shot 35.7% from beyond the arc as a junior at Alabama, which lost to Notre Dame in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Shackelford had a 30-point game against Ole Miss on Feb. 9, going 10 of 17 from the field and 8 of 13 from 3-point range.

Juzang, a 6-7, 215-pound guard, averaged 15.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists as a junior at UCLA. He shot 37.7% from the field and 32.6% from 3-point range for the Bruins, who advanced to the Sweet 16 before falling to North Carolina.

Burton, a 6-7, 215-pound forward, averaged 16.1 points and 7.7 rebounds as a junior at Richmond, shooting 45% from the field and 26.3% from long distance. He scored 36 points on 13-of-20 shooting in a Feb. 4 victory over St. Bonaventure.

He helped the Spiders upset Iowa in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament before they were eliminated with a loss to Providence.

Brooks is a 6-7, 210-pound forward who started 31 games as a junior at Kentucky. He averaged 10.8 points and 4.4 rebounds while shooting 47.2% from the field. Brooks helped the Wildcats go 26-8, but they were ousted by Saint Peter’s in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Mutts, a 6-7, 230-pound forward, averaged 10.1 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 53.7% as a senior at Virginia Tech. The Hokies also reached the NCAA Tournament, but they were knocked out with a first-round loss to Texas.
