Sacramento Kings announce Fan Fest, ticket offers, theme nights in celebration of 916 Day
The Kings made a number of announcements in celebration of 916 Day in Sacramento on Friday, unveiling plans for Fan Fest, ticket specials, theme nights and more for the 2022-23 NBA season at Golden 1 Center.
Kings president of business operations John Rinehart said fans can look forward to a variety of experiences this season, including the free Fan Fest and an expanded list of theme nights. In addition, the Kings are waiving fees for tickets purchased on Sept. 16, which the Sacramento City Council has declared 916 Day.
“Today is all about celebrating the best fans in the NBA and giving them new and exciting sports and entertainment experiences,” Rinehart said in a news release. “We can’t wait to kick off the season and welcome fans back to Golden 1 Center for Opening Night.”
Tickets are available at Kings.com. Fans can purchase a Kings Pass for all October games for $79 and enter the team’s Opening Night Sweepstakes for a chance to sit courtside when the Kings play the Portland Trail Blazers on Oct. 19.
Fan Fest will be held Oct. 16 at Golden 1 Center and DOCO. Fans can get their first look at the team, interact with Kings personalities and sample new food and beverage options. The event is free. Complimentary tickets can be claimed at NBA.com/Kings/FanFest.
During Fan Fest, the Kings will host the inaugural “3x3 National Cup: Road to the World Tour,” a 3-on-3 tournament featuring 10 teams vying for a trip to Brazil to compete in the Pro Circuit. Children ages 6-14 can participate in a Jr. Kings youth basketball clinic. Tickets for the clinic are available at NBA.com/Kings/JrKings.
The Kings have numerous theme nights planned for the upcoming season. The team will recognize the diversity of the Sacramento region with various heritage and cultural nights. A complete list of themed games and experiences can be found at Kings.com/Promos.
The Kings plan to introduce some new game-day traditions this season. A special guest will ring the cowbell before each game with after parties planned on select nights at the Sierra Nevada Draught House featuring DJs, food and drinks.
