Kings-Knicks gameday live: Injury updates on De’Aaron Fox, Keegan Murray, Terence Davis
The Kings could be missing two starters and a key reserve when they visit the New York Knicks on Sunday at Madison Square Garden.
Rookie forward Keegan Murray was added to the team’s injury report Saturday along with guards De’Aaron Fox and Terence Davis. All three players are listed as questionable against the Knicks.
The Kings (14-10) are coming off an impressive 106-95 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. They have won four of five and 11 of 15.
Fox missed Friday’s game against the Cavaliers due to right foot soreness while Davis missed his third game in a row because of lower back soreness. Murray made 6 of 8 from 3-point range to finish with 18 points against Cleveland, but now his status is in doubt due to left thumb soreness.
The Knicks (13-13) have won three in a row. Julius Randle posted back-to-back 30-point games in wins over the Atlanta Hawks and Charlotte Hornets. He had 34 points and 17 rebounds against the Hawks.
Obi Toppin is out with a non-displaced fracture of his right fibula. He will be reevaluated in two to three weeks. Ryan Arcidiacono is out with a left ankle sprain.
Len ruled out
Backup center Alex Len was added to Sacramento’s injury report Sunday, but not due to injury. Len has been ruled out with a non-COVID-19 illness. Len has appeared in only eight games this season, averaging 1.4 points and 1.1 rebounds.
Injury updates
Fox has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Knicks. Davion Mitchell will start again in place of Fox.
Murray and Davis have been cleared to play. Davis will return after missing the past three games.
