Watch Game 2 highlights: The scorer, the stopper and the crowd lead Kings to win
Sacramento Bee reporter Joe Davidson asked Kings guard De’Aaron Fox in a news conference after Monday’s win over the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 of the NBA Western Conference playoffs about how it is going against teammate Davion Mitchell in practice every day.
“I go against (Mitchell) every day and that’s why you’ll see what I do out here because I’m not going against Davion out here,” Fox said. “He’s made me a better player since he’s been here. Obviously, he has the nickname of ‘Off Night’, but I don’t think people realize how he moves laterally and how strong he actually is. He’s made me a much better player.”
The pair of players were instrumental in defeating the NBA champions in Game 2 on Monday by a score of 114-106.
Mitchell hounded one of the most prolific scorers ever, Golden State guard Stephen Curry, while De’Aaron scored in bunches like he does.
The video above shows the highlights from Golden 1 Center in a game that at one point got ugly when Golden State forward Draymond Green stomped on the chest of Kings forward Domantas Sabonis and was ejected.
