NBA trade deadline: Sacramento Kings’ odds of landing Kyle Kuzma, Tobias Harris and others
The Kings are among the odds-on-favorites to acquire Kyle Kuzma, Tobias Harris and other players with Thursday’s NBA trade deadline fast approaching.
According to the latest NBA trade lines from BetOnline, the Kings have the best odds of acquiring Harris if he doesn’t remain with the Philadelphia 76ers. Sacramento is a +200 favorite followed by the Detroit Pistons (+300), Golden State Warriors (+500), Los Angeles Lakers (+500) and Chicago Bulls (+600).
The website gives the Kings the second-best odds of landing Kuzma if he doesn’t stay with the Washington Wizards. The Dallas Mavericks are the favorite at +150 followed by the Kings (+300), Lakers (+400), Oklahoma City Thunder (+500) and Pistons (+700).
In addition, the Kings have the fifth-best odds of bringing Bogdan Bogdanovic (+700) back from the Atlanta Hawks. They also have the fifth-best odds of acquiring Bojan Bogdanovic (+700) from the Detroit Pistons.
BetOnline gives the Kings the sixth-best odds of acquiring DeMar DeRozan (+800) from the Chicago Bulls and the 11th-best odds of acquiring Dejounte Murray (+3000) from the Hawks.
Kuzma and Harris are perhaps the two most intriguing names on the list based on Sacramento’s needs. Kuzma, 28, is a 6-foot-9, 221-pound forward who is averaging 21.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists in his seventh NBA season. He is shooting 45.5% from the field and 32.9% from 3-point range.
The Kings were close to a deal to acquire Kuzma from the Los Angeles Lakers in the summer of 2021, but the Lakers pivoted at the last minute, sending Kuzma to Washington in a deal for Russell Westbrook. Marc Stein of substack and Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports recently reported the Kings remain interested in Kuzma.
Kuzma is in the first year of a four-year, $90 million contract. He is owed $23.5 million next season, $21.5 million in 2025-26 and $19.4 million in 2026-27. The declining-scale salary structure could be appealing for the Kings, who will be looking to extend De’Aaron Fox, Malik Monk and Keegan Murray in months ahead.
Harris, 31, is a 6-8, 226-pound forward. He is averaging 17.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists in his 13th NBA season. He is shooting 51.2% from the field and 34.4% from 3-point range.
Matt Moore of the Action Network recently reported the 76ers are open to trading Harris with Sacramento mentioned as a potential landing spot. Harris is in the final year of a five-year, $180 million contract. He will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.
