NBA players congratulate Kings star De’Aaron Fox and wife Recee on birth of their daughter

NBA players and fans took to social media over the weekend to congratulate Sacramento Kings star De’Aaron Fox and his wife, Recee, on the birth of their second child.

Fox posted pictures on Instagram Sunday announcing the recent arrival of a beautiful baby girl. The photos show Fox holding his daughter as she gazes into her father’s eyes.

Many NBA players, coaches, fans and media personalities responded with comments and emojis. One of them was Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, who wrote: “Congrats bro!!”

Curry and his wife, Ayesha, recently welcomed their fourth child into the world.

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young, Portland Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III, former Kings teammate Chris Duarte and former Kings player development coach Rico Hines were also among the players and coaches who congratulated Fox.

Fox and his wife had their first child, Reign, in February 2023. They announced they were expecting their second child in May when Fox posted photos of him and his wife on Instagram, writing: “There’s nothing I’ve ever wanted more than to grow a family with you. Reigny’s going to be the best big brother.”

Fox averaged 26.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 2.0 steals last season with his wife and son sitting courtside for home games at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. They also had courtside seats when Fox scored 41 points in a 123-115 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Feb. 3 — Reign’s first birthday — at the United Center in Chicago.

Fox’s wife was known as Recee Caldwell when she played point guard at UCLA, Texas Tech and Cal. They got married in Malibu in August 2022.
