The injury occurred on the third day of training camp Thursday at the team’s Golden 1 Center practice facility in Sacramento. An MRI revealed that Robinson sprained the MCL in his left knee. He will be reevaluated in about four weeks.
The Kings signed Robinson in July to a one-year, $2 million contract with a $500,000 guarantee. The contract won’t be fully guaranteed until Jan. 10.

Robinson spent the 2022-23 season with the Heat on a two-way contract, splitting time between Miami and the G League Sioux Falls Skyforce. The Heat signed Robinson to a standard two-year contract prior to the 2023-24 season. He became an unrestricted free agent after being waived on July 7, clearing the way for him to sign with Sacramento.
