Emirates NBA Cup: Dates, details, schedule, prize money, matchups for Sacramento Kings
The Kings will play the first of four Emirates NBA Cup group stage games when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.
Eastern and Western Conference teams were randomly drawn into groups of five within their conferences. The Kings were placed in West Group A with the Timberwolves, Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers.
Here’s a look at Sacramento’s group stage schedule for the in-season tournament:
Nov. 16 vs. Timberwolves
Nov. 22 at Clippers
Nov. 29 at Trail Blazers
Dec. 3 vs. Rockets
Eight teams will advance from group play into the knockout rounds. The final four will go on to the semifinals at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 14 with a chance to reach the championship game on Dec. 17.
Players on teams that lose in the quarterfinals will receive $51,497 in prize money. Players on teams that lose in the semifinals will receive $102,994. Players on the team that loses in the championship game will receive $205,988 while players on the winning team will receive $514,970.
