Sacramento Kings two-way player has historic game in G League playoffs

Sacramento Kings two-way player Mason Jones had a historic game to help the Stockton Kings advance to the NBA G League Western Conference finals.

Jones scored 47 points to lead the Kings to a 122-114 semifinal victory over the Valley Suns on Thursday at Adventist Health Arena in Stockton. Jones posted the third-highest postseason scoring game in G League history.

The Stockton Kings are the G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings. They will play host to the Austin Spurs in the Western Conference finals Sunday in Stockton.

Jones, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound guard, has appeared in 10 games for Sacramento this season, averaging 2.3 points, 0.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 4.5 minutes per game. He has averaged 23.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 7.3 assists in 20 games for Stockton.

Jones was named Southeastern Conference co-Player of the Year in 2020 after averaging 22.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists for the Razorbacks. Jones went undrafted but signed two-way contracts with the Houston Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers before joining the Kings organization in December 2023.
