Sacramento Kings holding free NBA draft watch party. Here’s how you can go
The NBA draft is less than a week away and excitement is building in Sacramento as the Kings prepare to make a decision that could shape the franchise’s future.
The Kings want to share that moment with their fans.
The team will hold a free watch party Tuesday at Golden 1 Center, giving fans an opportunity to assemble as the first round unfolds on Day 1 of the draft.
The Kings have the seventh overall pick in a draft that has been touted as one of the best in recent memory, drawing comparisons to the legendary 1996 and 2003 draft classes. Sacramento is believed to be focused on a gifted group of point guards that includes Arkansas’ Darius Acuff Jr., Houston’s Kingston Flemings and Louisville’s Mikel Brown Jr.
Fans can watch the draft live inside the arena with live entertainment, complimentary hot dogs and popcorn, drink specials, photo opportunities, activities and prizes. The event will also feature appearances from Kings coach Doug Christie and NBC Sport California broadcasters Morgan Ragan and Deuce Mason, plus commentary from Kings general manager Scott Perry.
Fans in attendance will also be among the first to hear from the Kings first-round pick and have an opportunity to pre-order the player’s jersey. Doors open at 4 p.m. Broadcast coverage of the draft is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

Parking will be available for a $5 flat rate at the DoCo West Parking Garage, located at 325 L Street, with entrances on L Street and 3rd Street.
