Kings game plan vs. Denver
KINGS (2-1) AT NUGGETS (1-1)
THE PARTICULARS
▪ Where: Pepsi Center, Denver
▪ Time: 6 p.m.
▪ TV/radio: CSNCA, 1140
THREE KEYS
▪ 1. Keep defending: The Kings have not allowed an opponent to score 100 or more points in three games. The Nuggets haven’t scored more than 91 in their first two games.
▪ 2. Second-unit boost: Tonight is the second of back-to-back games, so the Kings might rely on their bench a little more. Omri Casspi has been solid off the bench the last two games.
▪ 3. More at the two: Sacramento’s two young shooting guards, Ben McLemore and Nik Stauskas, have struggled to score so far. Casspi finished Sunday’s game at shooting guard, and if McLemore and Stauskas continue to have trouble, the Kings could experiment with other players there late in the game.
