Kings game plan against the Memphis Grizzlies
KINGS (9-7) VS. GRIZZLIES (14-2)
THE PARTICULARS
▪ Where: Sleep Train Arena
▪ Time: 3 p.m.
▪ TV/radio: CSNCA, 1140
THREE KEYS
▪ 1. Containing Conley: When the Grizzlies rallied to beat the Kings on Nov. 13 in Memphis, it was behind Mike Conley, who had 11 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter. The perimeter defense must be solid or Conley will dominate again.
▪ 2. Bench production: Vince Carter came off the bench to make clutch three-pointers in Memphis’ 26-point comeback. The Kings need their bench to match Memphis’ and not allow reserves to have their way.
▪ 3. Disciplined play: Turnovers and blown defensive assignments are the things the Grizzlies exploit well. The Kings cannot afford to give up easy points off mistakes if they hope to win.
