Preview of Saturday’s Kings game against the Orlando Magic
KINGS (10-9) VS. MAGIC (8-14)
THE PARTICULARS
▪ Where: Sleep Train Arena
▪ Time: 7 p.m.
▪ TV/radio: CSNCA, 1140
THREE KEYS
▪ 1. Gang rebound: The Kings will be without the NBA’s leading rebounder, DeMarcus Cousins (viral infection), and Orlando center Nikola Vucevic (back) missed Friday’s game at Utah. Vucevic is a capable rebounder too, so the team that rebounds could find itself with a win.
▪ 2. Bench production: Both teams will be in the second of back-to-back games. So the second unit might be the difference. The Kings have had uneven results from their bench defensively this season.
▪ 3. Perimeter defense: Magic guard Victor Oladipo’s athleticism could hurt the Kings if he’s able to get into the paint easily. Overall, the Kings need to do a good job of making it hard for Orlando’s guards to get to the rim.
