Kings game plan: vs. Houston Rockets
KINGS (11-11)
VS. ROCKETS (16-4)
THE PARTICULARS
▪ Where: Sleep Train Arena
▪ Time: 7:30 p.m.
▪ TV/radio: TNT, 1140
THREE KEYS
1. The full 48: The Kings can’t afford to have long lapses as they have in recent losses. The team was dreadful in the fourth quarter Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Lakers, and they’ve started slowly in other games.
2. Gang rebound: Second-chance points are hurting the Kings lately. In some cases, it’s a matter of simply going after the ball with more determination than the opponent. Without DeMarcus Cousins, the Kings need everyone to contribute on the glass.
3. Protect the arc: The Rockets lead the NBA in three-point attempts and makes per game. Houston made 12 threes in beating the Kings last month, so Sacramento needs to be aggressive in chasing the Rockets off the arc.
