Kings look lethargic in a 109-97 loss to visiting New Orleans
Player of the game: New Orleans guard Eric Gordon had 24 points, including six three-pointers, as the Pelicans bounced back from losing to the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday to defeat the Kings 109-97 Wednesday night at Sleep Train Arena.
Turning point: The Kings looked out of sorts from the start when they fell behind 28-19 after the first quarter. The Kings appeared to play in slow motion while the Pelicans were the aggressors.
X-factor: New Orleans’ bench produced in a big way. Norris Cole and Ryan Anderson each scored 18 points and Jrue Holiday had 10 assists.
Records: Kings 15-23, Pelicans 12-26
Key injuries: New Orleans guard Tyreke Evans left the game in the first quarter because of a knee injury.
