Kings game plan against the Los Angeles Clippers
KINGS (16-23)
VS. CLIPPERS (26-14)
THE PARTICULARS
Where: Sleep Train Arena
Time: 7 p.m.
TV/radio: CSNCA, 950, 1140
THREE KEYS
1. Bodies on bigs: Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan are active big men who are extremely athletic. The Kings need to make sure they locate both at all times and don’t allow them to get out on the break or rebound with ease.
2. Second wind: The reserves will be needed in the second of back-to-back games for both teams. Omri Casspi returned from injury Friday and could be the key to the Kings’ second unit with Carl Landry dealing with a sprained wrist.
3. Slow it down: Trying to run and outscore the Clippers might not be the best approach. Slowing the pace a bit and going to DeMarcus Cousins a lot might be the best way for the Kings to win.
