Kings unveil new uniforms for inaugural season at Golden 1 Center
The Kings unveiled new uniforms Wednesday featuring the team’s redesigned logos. To show off the new gear, the team also released a 360-degree virtual-reality demo featuring center Willie Cauley-Stein.
“I love them. I’m probably going to buy one of each,” said Felipe Espino, who visited the Kings’ team store at Arden Fair Mall.
The road jerseys are purple with white lettering and a gray accent bar. The home uniforms are white with purple letters. The team is also selling fan versions of their purple “city” uniforms with “SAC” across the chest, black uniforms and the throwback baby-blue jersey worn from 1985-90.
“I’ll take the black, and I’ll take the white. I really don’t care for the purple too much,” said Kings fan Eddie George.
George and Espino were among those who strapped on the virtual-reality goggles Wednesday. The demo can be experienced at the team’s stores in Arden Fair Mall and the Galleria at Roseville.
The team redesigned its logo and uniforms ahead of its move this fall into Golden 1 Center in downtown Sacramento. The arena opens Oct. 4 when Paul McCartney plays the first of two shows.
