‘Gone too soon’: Social media reacts to Cortez Kennedy’s death
Long before the Seattle Seahawks became a Super Bowl winner and a thorn in the side of 49ers’ fans, Cortez Kennedy was one of the few bright spots for the team.
Kennedy, a Hall of Fame defensive tackle who played his entire career with the Seahawks from 1990-2000, was found dead Tuesday by police in Orlando, Fla. He was 48.
He was an eight-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro selection with Seattle, which made the postseason just once during Cortez’s career.
