The journey of Jarryd Hayne from Australian rugby star to member of the San Francisco 49ers has elicited plenty of reaction and comment. An article by writer Catherine Armitage in the Sydney (Australia) Morning Herald, however, came out strongly against Hayne and football as it is played in the United States. Reaction to the story has been fairly one-sided against Armitage’s point of view. The following is a sample:
